Juvéderm is a highly effective injectable dermal filler that is specifically designed to restore lost volume in the skin, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and address any additional signs of ageing.

It is made from synthetic hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that occurs naturally in the body and contributes to the production of collagen for healthy supple skin.

The answer to this question really depends on several factors. The area of treatment is perhaps one of the most significant factors that affects the question of how long does Juvéderm last. If it is used in a facial region with high mobility, such as the lips it is likely the treatments effectiveness will be shortened. If the treatment is used in areas more static, treatment may last longer.

To prolong the effectiveness of Juvéderm treatments, you should invite your patients back after 12 months for a follow-up appointment to ensure everything still looks as it should. Typically, the effects of Juvéderm last around 18 months, so one year after the first injection is the best time to perform any follow-ups required to maintain the effectiveness of the treatment.

The healthier the patient is on the inside; the longer youthful results will last.
